Acknowledgment of Traditional Owners

We, the butchers, staff and our customers, would like to acknowledge the peoples of the Kulin Nation as the sovereign custodians of the land in which we live, work and share.

We extend our deepest and most profound respect to their ancestors and elders, past, present and emerging as well as to all First Nations people.

We give respect to the First Nations people of this continent, as they were the world’s first culinary artisans to live and eat in harmony with the land. Their rich and diverse culture survives today, in spite of many challenges, demonstrating the power and resilience of the world's oldest continuous cultures.

We are grateful to those who have gone before us to pave the way. We feel privileged to serve our communities and nation. We wish hope, peace, safety and good will to all.
